Violet or cream?
Brassicas are so colourful, and grow wonderfully in cold weather, bless them!

Cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage (red, white, or my favorite: savoy), brussel sprouts, kale. The brassica family are an important, nutritious, hardy mob who are a mainstay of winter growing here in Tassie.
They'll grow in summer too, but tend to taste bland, or even acrid, in the warmer weather. Not to mention the aphid and cabbage white grub attacks that they suffer in the warmer months.
I'm trying to decide which of the two colours I prefer. Both taste good, although the violet cauliflower goes pale green when cooked. We did a taste test, and this time, the white one came up trumps!
