I went for a walk this morning and saw blossoms on a prunus (ornamental plum) in the local park. Its not a warm park, its down by the rivulet, and gets heavy frost and cold air drainage. We've just had the shortest night, and plants are blossoming! Amazing.
Then, in my garden, I spied these snowdrops. Beautiful, cold hardy. A reminder that someone once gardened here before me and liked winter flowers.
Happy Winter Solstice!
